 Homeowner Quotes

See what Pulte homeowners have to say about their homes ... and their homebuilder.

"I was extremely dissatisfied with Pulte's home building process. We were told that there would be no building behind us and that Pulte owned that land. It turned out that they don't own it and it is soon to become a sand and gravel pit!! I was also told that my house would be move in ready by February 2004 and they did not even break ground until March 2004. I would never buy another Pulte built home again and have instructed my friends, family, and co- workers also not to purchase one. On the day of our closing, I ended up on the phone with Pulte's vice president of sales, so I could express my dissatisfaction with their customer service and their home building procedures. Personally, I feel dissatisfaction is an understatement."

-Agua Fria Ranch, Youngtown, AZ

"They need to have better customer service. Many calls to them, few replies."

-Peralta Trails, Gold Canyon, AZ

"This has been a horrible experience. Between all the problems, the non-responsive customer service, the poor "fixes", we are very saddened that our "dream home" has become a nightmare. It is unfortunate that so many problems have occurred, but even more disappointing that we are left to deal with them, no recourse at all. We had thought about getting a lawyer, but just wouldn't know where to start. The water damage to the house was because of negligence and was a problem that we noticed on our walk through. This house was built very fast, and it is showing over the years. I would NOT recommend a Pulte home to anyone, and I am embarrassed to say that I own one."

-Heritage at Tartesso, Buckeye, AZ

"Just really upset overall. Even before we moved in and we came out the look at the house we noticed that there was a bee hive in the front bedroom full of bees and I am very allergic and we had to say something for them to spray, which they didn't clean up very well. It just seems every month that it is one thing after another, something you do not expect out of a new home, which is why we wanted a new home instead of a used home, but right now I would take a used home any day over the home I have now through Pulte."

-Copper Basin, Queen Creek, AZ

"I purchased my brand new Pulte home on March 1, 2007, moved in on March 5, and the house nearly burned down on May 3, 2007. Though my insurance company took care of me, and I have rebuilt the home with another independent builder, not a single person from Pulte has offered help or expressed sympathy. If this fire had happened at night, everyone would have perished!!"

-Montana Tierra, Phoenix, AZ

"Well, it's almost two years that I've been in my house and I still have repairs that are being worked on. It takes an act of god to get Pulte moving. My original customer service representative was fired for being too good at her job. She took care of a lot of my initial requests for service. She was fired because she allowed too many repairs. My new CSR guy is totally worthless. He never follows up. I have to chase him down. "

-West Wing Mountain, Peoria, AZ

"This is my second Pulte home. Both have severe slab cracks. Obviously they don’t care – not pouring a proper mix (too wet) to cut cost. $5,000 extra for post tension is a rip off. It is cheaper for the builder so why did it cost me $5,000 more? Heating/cooling cost warranty was another rip off."

-Peralta Trails, Gold Canyon, AZ

"I will never purchase another Pulte nor let any of my friends or family purchase from this corrupt company. That’s a promise I will take to my grave!"

-Sundance, Buckeye, AZ
